“The class newspaper we published in elementary school and the small plays I wrote and staged were my first steps toward an interest in the world of communication. This curiosity gradually turned into a passion and led me to the Department of Media and Communication at Izmir University of Economics. Thanks to the strong academic staff and modern studio facilities, my university years became one of the most valuable periods that shaped my career.

Choosing a university and department creates a great responsibility for every student. Although I had ideas in mind before taking the university exam, I took the time to get to know the universities and departments. I was able to get into many of the public universities and programs that I had in mind, and I never planned to study at a private / foundation university. However, as I researched further, I decided that I should examine universities not only by name, department, city but also in terms of the opportunities they offer, and that my choice would only be correct in this way. And thanks to this mind frame, I met Izmir University of Economics. During the open house, the student mentors were giving a tour around campus for prospective students who came to see and learn about Izmir University of Economics.

2009 - Industrial Systems Engineering Graduate
I started my education at Izmir University of Economics in 2005 as one of the first students at Department of Industrial Systems Engineering (now Department of Industrial Engineering). Of course I had doubts about choosing a new department of a relatively young university, but, when I was convinced that the University offered a high quality education system and teaching staff based on the needs of the region and the country, my worries were replaced by a different excitement. In addition to being raised by internationally recognized academics during my 4 year undergraduate education, it was also rewarding to see our department maturing and improving along with us and being a part of it has always been a point where I felt the advantage.

The scholarship opportunities and the high-level academic staff, all of whom had previously worked at prestigious international universities, were influential in my decision to choose the Department of Economics at Izmir University of Economics, where I enrolled in 2002 with a full scholarship.

I got enrolled in Izmir University of Economics, Department of Media and Communication in 2007 with a full scholarship. I graduated in 2012. I performed internship in institutions such as Doğuş Media Group (NTV), İhlas Media Group (TGRT), Doğan Media Group (Posta Newspaper) until I graduated.
