I became one of the first graduates of Izmir University of Economics, Department of Genetics and Bioengineering in 2020. Having a comprehensive curriculum in my undergraduate education, thanks to our professors specialized in different fields, made it easier for me to find the subject I wanted to study in the future. In the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to perform a two-month internship at the University of Leipzig with the Erasmus+ Internship mobility. In my last year, as a Tübitak 2209-A scholar, the project on liver cancer offered the opportunity to strengthen my laboratory experience. The studies I did during my undergraduate education enabled me to be accepted to my master's degree at Dokuz Eylul University International Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center. In my master's degree, which I started in 2020, I worked on producing a tear gland model using human stem cells in the Therapeutic Bioengineering lab. In my last year, thanks to my increasing interest in producing stem cells and organoid models, I started to apply for doctorate positions in which I could work in this field. In 2022, I was accepted to a PhD position at the Sheffield University School of Biosciences in England with the BBSRC White Rose DTP scholarship. I am very proud to have the chance to be the first Turkish person to win this scholarship. Currently, I am working on the formation of human limbs in embryonic development using stem cells in my doctoral project. I would like to thank esteemed faculty members who have helped me get to this point and help us find such good opportunities.\\r\\n\r\n
