I graduated from Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in 2015. At first I was very concerned about the University, but at the end of my 4 years, I can say that Izmir University of Economics is a university that provides opportunities for its students to develop themselves both academically and socially. The course contents and English education in line with the European standards that I had taken during my study helped me to get accepted to my master's degree abroad. After I graduated, I did my master's degree on "Information of Technology" at Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia. In addition, I think one of the most successful programs of Izmir University of Economics is the second foreign language education it offers. Before joining the university, I could speak several different languages, but despite this, I took the elective Spanish course out of curiosity. In this way, I realized how good the second foreign language education was and I reinforced my knowledge with lovely Spanish teachers. Foreign language skills opened different doors for me in my career, and besides my engineering career, I had the chance to work as an interpreter in some media organizations and in the sports sector. Therefore, I think that the second foreign language education provided by Izmir University of Economics, as well as the important course contents in the field of engineering, is also very important. I am currently working in a software company at ITU Technopark in Istanbul. In short, when I look back, I think Izmir University of Economics is the right choice socially and academically. My biggest recommendation to prospective students is to choose the most suitable department for them, to make good use of the opportunities they encounter, without giving up their dreams and to continue their way.
