APPRENTICE-MENTOR MEETINGS CONTINUE
IEU Alumni Relations Office Coordinator Özge Kulaçoğlu stated that they are simultaneously running several projects focusing on students and alumni. Expressing that their aim is to provide new opportunities for IUE students to achieve their career goals, Kulaçoğlu provided information about their ongoing projects, saying, “In the ‘Three Generations Master-Apprentice’ project, conducted by the Alumni Relations Office, students meet with representatives from the business world. Each student participating in the project as an ‘apprentice’ is paired with a professional (master) from the industry they aspire to work in. Through the project, students ask questions to their masters, benefit from their experiences, and early on get the opportunity to understand the business world and develop their business networks. So far, we have reached 885 participants in our project.”
FAMOUS COMPANIES ‘ONE CLICK’ AWAY
Kulaçoğlu continued as follows, “We have included 1 thousand 100 companies in the Alumni Information System we established to provide the best career opportunities for our graduates and meet the qualified workforce needs of the business world. The system, bringing together company representatives and 23 thousand IUE alumni with just one ‘click’, provides graduates with the opportunity to land their dream jobs. In addition to these efforts, we have recently added a 9-series training program. The training sessions were very productive and successful, receiving numerous positive feedback from the graduates and students. We will continue our efforts until the end of the semester.”
