Year 2007 summer and the last days of the university preference period. Frankly, I remember that I came to Izmir with the suggestions of my two older sisters who were very successful in their careers and school life and who lived in Izmir during the years when I approached private school with a very biased way. They were the first to recommend Izmir University of Economics to me. When I came to the university for the first time, we encountered its orange emblem and brick walls. Afterwards, a small tour, information about the courses and the curriculum, the counselor asks my score and says welcome to our school, list the department you want in the first place and you will definitely get into our school with this score. Yes, in 2007, I started the Department of Business Administration of Izmir University of Economics, which was my first and only choice, with 50% scholarship. In 2012, I graduated as a high honor student from the Department of International Trade and Finance and departments Department of Business Administration within the scope of the double major program. During my time at the University, the "Audit Option Program" was created under the Department of Business Administration for the first time thanks to the unique efforts of Prof. Serdar Özkan. I was one of the first students to be accepted into this option program. I had the honor of being one of the first certified graduates of this program. I started my career in PwC auditing company with the valuable contribution of the training we received in this program and my success in the courses, by receiving job offers from four major financial audit companies, known as Big 4. In 2014, I continued my career as a Sector Sales Representative in the Internal Sales department of Borusan Holding, Borçelik company. I am also proud of being the first person from Izmir University of Economics to be employed by my company. I think this reflected positively on the next recruitment. At the same time, I am a founding member of our university's Career Club and served as Vice President. Student clubs, which I consider to be a must for a university student, are extremely useful and beneficial. IUE supports its students fully when it comes to this. During the years I studied, I had the opportunity to receive training from our esteemed professors and to have sincere friendships in private life. The education we received at our school and the fact that all classes were in English have greatly contributed to my career. I am proud to be a member of IUE and I will always be proud.
