The stages in Germany are being designed by IUE fashion designers. Jörn Fröhlich, lecturer, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Fashion and Textile Design, and Cansu İncesu, graduate from the same department, designed the costumes and stage of the Chawwerusch Theater in Germany.
Fröhlich and İncesu worked on all design details for the play “Grimm and Gretel”, work of the German Brothers Grimm, at the theater in Herxheim, Germany. The play, which premiered recently, will be on stage until the summer of 2017.
Lecturer Jörn Fröhlich stated that they did the entire costumes and stage design of the play based on a story, and he said, “The actors were deeply impressed by the work in Turkey. Turkey’s international success in design improves with education. International products come out. The quality of textile products also draws attention. Culture, design, and quality affect the development of art. We will be doing high quality work in Germany”.
