Choosing a university and department is a difficult process for every student. I had only one dream in high school, which was being an Interior Architect. I decided to make this dream come true at Izmir University of Economics.. I graduated from IUE Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2017 as a high honor student. I had the opportunity to study by winning a merit scholarship during my undergraduate education. I gained a lot of experience thanks to my university and department. I participated in many workshops and was assigned to projects on different subjects. We had the opportunity to design so many different projects such as abstract design, booth design, furniture design, yacht design, office design, technical drawing details etc. At the same time, I gained internship experiences with the opportunities provided by my university every year and I gained experience related to my career life in these internships. My first step in my career after graduation was to work as a freelancer. While carrying out the design and follow-up processes of these projects, I started my career as an interior design team member at IKEA Antalya store since April 2018. At the end of 8 months, I got promoted in IKEA, I am currently working as an interior design specialist. I owe this promotion to the opportunities offered by my university, the responsibilities and the desire to work, the courses and workshops I have taken and the support of my professors and colleagues who led me in the business. Now I am telling you again, I am very lucky to study my dream profession and to study this profession at IEU.
