I graduated from the Department of Business Administration in 2009 as a high honor student. I have undertaken tasks in the field of global supply chain in international and domestic companies. I am currently working as Supply Chain Manager at Stern-Wywiol Groupe. In fact, how important is the department of graduation or the position you have in business life? One day, when I was studying at Izmir University of Economics, I got a very interesting answer to a question I asked a professor: “Be it a CEO or a maid; someone will always expect better from you. While waiting to be appreciated in the business world; you will always hear criticism instead, you will hear, ‘you did a very good job it could have been better’. ” From that day on, I realized that being a good leader, manager or individual depends on how you define and interpret these concepts rather than the department you studied at. I think the prescription for a good leader is 61% Vision, 45% Professional Ethics, 41% Flexibility, 35% Positivity, 34% Ambition and Passion. Izmir University of Economics is just the place for that. It is an institution of CREATIVITY that teaches professional needs as well as the requirements of being a successful individual in business life. I am proud to be a graduate of such an institution.
