I graduated from the Department of International Relations and EU in 2008 as a high honor student. At the same time, I completed the minor program in International Economics by using the opportunities provided by my university, and I had the opportunity to study for 6 months in the field of European Studies at Maastricht University in the Netherlands as part of the Erasmus program. In my last year, I was just entering the finals when I received a job offer from Ernst & Young (EY) Company that I applied for to start after my graduation. The fact that I diversified my knowledge and skills thanks to the opportunities provided by my university, and that I chose the Taxation Policy in the European Union Policies course and realized a project in this field was of great importance in finding a job so quickly in such a good company. After spending approximately the first 5 years of my career in the tax consultancy department at EY, I have worked and continue to work in country and international regional managerial positions in the tax and treasury areas, including Total, British & American Tobacco, Adecco and now SAP. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to my university, Izmir University of Economics, for its academic quality and the opportunities it provides, and to all valuable academics for their efforts.
