I started working as an industrial designer at Günsel Automobile firm of Near East University in 2018. First I was in the interior design team of the B9 vehicle. In the following period, I became the interior team leader and had the opportunity to work on dashboard, center console, interior color and pattern. Later, I took over the project management of an SUV concept vehicle called J9 and we had the opportunity to introduce this concept at launching. I am currently working as an industrial design team leader.

I graduated from Izmir University of Economics, Vocational School, Logistics Associate Degree Program in 2014 with full scholarship. After graduating, I continued my undergraduate education at Istanbul University. Thanks to the project work we frequently did at Izmir University of Economics Logistics Program, I have gained experience in many subjects such as identifying and preventing problems, taking action in critical situations, time management, and teamwork.
Yaprak Yalçınkaya
2015 - Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Graduate
I entered this program, which was my first choice, as a full scholarship holder. I successfully passed the preparatory exam in 2011 and started my freshman year when I was only 17. I started to work as a freelance interior designer since 2012. In the third year of my undergraduate education, I decided to spend a semester at the University of Sheffield Hallam in England with the Erasmus agreement IUE is included in. After studying a semester here, I completed the 3rd grade at IUE. That summer, I performed my internship as an interior designer at an architectural firm in Sheffield and took part in large-scale hospital projects. At the same time, by continuing my freelance works, I completed many interior architecture projects in Russia, China, America and England.

It seems that my story started with the tape measure that my teacher hung around my neck while going to primary school. Year 2007 summer and the last days of the university preference period. Frankly, I remember that I came to Izmir with the suggestions of my two older sisters who were very successful in their careers and school life and who lived in Izmir during the years when I approached private school with a very biased way. They were the first to recommend Izmir University of Economics to me. When I came to the university for the first time, we encountered its orange emblem and brick walls.
