As Izmir University of Economics Alumni Relations Office, we continue alumni information update activities to strengthen our communication with you, our esteemed alumni. By expanding the scope of what we regularly do every year, we decided to conduct a survey this year to have more information about you and to learn about your expectations about the University.

The information requested by you in the survey will be used to support our graduates for career planning, to monitor graduate success, and to create an alumni network. In addition, they will be maintained by the Alumni Relations Office to support education, teaching and research studies and research on social, cultural, and academic activities of the University. In 2013, 19 years since my birth in Germany, I decided to settle in Izmir, Turkey by getting an "Abitur" diploma. Attending a university in Turkey, being useful to my country and people was my biggest dream since I was little. I started to realize this dream with "Izmir University of Economics". The main reasons for me to choose Izmir University of Economics were the successful education staff as well as the medium of education being completely English.

Think about a place there is no hierarchy, what can I tell, instructors that want to support you all the time, Spanish instructor whose concert we attended to, or head of our department with whom we had tea in the cafeteria together?

I started my academic life as one of the first students of the university in 2001. Throughout our education life, we have had valuable teachers who have a reputation in their own fields, worked in certain areas of business and taught us to open every door. Izmir University of Economics is a turning point in my life, where I assumed the presidency of the student council in 2005-2006, and in the following years, where I took part in the management of the alumni association for a few years.
