A special software has been developed for 16 thousand 200 graduates of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) to allow them keep in touch, and pave the way for new business partnerships. Alumni, who subscribe to Pitch & Match, new program of IUE graduate Murat Aybars, will be able to share their business needs and experiences, organize social events, and get career support from each other. Only IUE alumni will be able to access the system.
Murat Aybars (33) graduated from IUE Department of Media and Communication in 2011, completed his graduate studies at Glasgow University and started his own business in informatics. IUE alumni, who subscribe to Aybars’ system, will have to create a profile first. They will be able to share their areas of interest, employment history, future goals and experiences. Members will be able to see each other’s profiles, get to know each other and create business opportunities. Posts of those who pursue their careers abroad, or are working at senior level management in Turkey, will guide the ones who are just starting work life. Regardless of the sector similarities, the program will bring alumni, who are working or who started their own businesses, together and allow new collaborations to be established.
“A STRONG PLATFORM”
Murat Aybars gave information about his software and said that he developed this special network in order to provide a professional support environment for the graduates of Izmir University of Economics, something he always dreamed about. Aybars said, “Fellow IUE graduates are working, studying all across the world. It is surely difficult to introduce alumni face to face, however, we thought about developing a software where they can stay in touch. Alumni will set up a profile where they introduce themselves, share their areas of interests, and post their needs. All the profiles will be accessible by the alumni. The program turns the profiles and interview requests into an extensive data analysis. We now have such a strong platform that only IUE alumni can benefit from.”
“SYNERGY WILL INCREASE”
Kayahan Dede, President of IUE Alumni Association, said, “We are a big family of 16 thousand 200 members. We believe that it is important for each graduate to get to know one another. Therefore, we established a program that would bring all alumni together. Our friend developed an innovative software. Special features such as purchasing, project development, etc. are planned to be added for the near future. We are going to bring our alumni via various ways under the slogan of ‘together we are strong’, and increase the synergy between them.”
