I enrolled at Izmir University of Economics, Department of International Relations and European Union in 2011. When I completed the Preparatory Program after half a semester and started the Pre-Faculty Program, I had the opportunity to make many presentations and research to get to know and promote the Department of International Relations and the European Union. When I started my undergraduate education in 2012, I realized that the research and presentations I had done before, have contributed a lot to me. I think that the theoretical education given in the first year of the International Relations and European Union department and my esteemed professors made a great contribution to my ideals. I can say that being a High Honor Student in 2012 and every year after that, and my academic merit scholarship is due to the fact that I was very fond of my major. In 2013, my Double Major journey started; I decided to choose the Department of Psychology because of my desire to know myself. While taking the psychology classes; I gave up my dream of becoming a diplomat that occurred during my internship at the Center for Strategic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and I started to focus on the question of how I can bring these two disciplines together at a common point and as I got involved more in the field, I learned that it was possible to specialize in Political Psychology, however, due to lack of facilities and limited studies in this field in Turkey, I decided to go with the Clinical Psychology. On the other hand, when I thought that it would be very difficult for me to go abroad with the Erasmus Program while doing double major, I was sent to Freiburg European Union Summer School in Germany by my major department professors and my dream abroad came true thanks to them. I graduated from the Department of International Relations and European Union in 2016 and I think my department has given me different perspectives on the way to become a Psychologist. When I completed my internship at the Department of Psychology in 2017 and received my diploma, I started to apply for the Master of Clinical Psychology in order to do psychotherapy, to see clients and to specialize in this field. During this time, I had the opportunity to work as a consultant in Izmir for a short time. Later, I went through a long and challenging process due to the demand for Clinical Psychology. After a series of exams and interviews, I qualified to get into the Clinical Psychology Master's Degree program of Yeditepe University in September 2018 and moved to Istanbul in a short time. I am currently at the stage of seeing clients in two different institutions: a private clinic and a municipal Women's Solidarity Center and writing my thesis at the same time.
