Cansu Tayaksi, who recently completed her Ph.D. in Business Administration at Graduate School of Business, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), will continue her academic studies as a scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT, winner of 85 Nobel prizes. Tayaksi, who completed her Ph.D. study in the field of Operations Management, will be representing Izmir University of Economics at MIT, known as the world’s best technical university in technology and engineering, and continue her studies in the field of “Supply Chain Management”.
Upon completing her undergraduate study at IUE Department of Software Engineering, Tayaksi completed her Ph.D. in Business Administration at Izmir University of Economics again. Tayaksi will be working as a researcher with Dr. Josue Velazquez at MIT’s Center for Transportation and Logistics. Tayaksi stated she would be representing Turkey and Izmir at USA, and she said, “Worldwide scientific and technological inventions were made at MIT which was established in 1861. It was awarded with 85 Nobel prizes, 58 National Medals of Science, and 29 National Medals of Technology and Innovation. I will start working at Center for Transportation and Logistics, which ranks in first place at this world-renowned institution. I am very excited to be able to continue with my research on the one hand, and consulting to graduate projects in supply chain management on the other hand”.
‘Increase Efficiency’
Tayaksi, who indicated she would continue her studies and research on supply chain management, reported that she would also continue to study on increasing small business efficiency and lean manufacturing.
