The performance fashion show for IF Wedding Fashion Izmir - Wedding Dresses, Suits, and Evening Gowns Fair, the only fair specialized in Turkish wedding gown industry, will be organized by Firdevs Tülin Gülhan, Graduate of IUE Department of Fashion and Textile Design.
The fair, organized by IZFAS with the contribution of Ministry of Economy and supports of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Fashion and Ready Wear Federation, and Aegean Clothing Manufacturers' Association will take place on 4 – 7 February this year and Gülhan’s creation will be exhibited on February 5 at 18.30.
‘Trying to Catch Up with Life’
Gülhan said that she was going to make a debut with her collection of 40 pieces in front of Turkish ready wear manufacturers and foreign professional procurement committee. She said, “Performance fashion show aims to help the novices in the sector gain experience. Preparation process was has been a huge experience for me. I chose “flu” (blurry) as a theme. My collection is a reaction to the fast paced life. We are always in a hurry trying to catch up with life. We are not paying attention to what’s happening around us. Our children are getting older right in front of us and we miss that. Everything in our lives is blurry and fuzzy. That’s why everything is blurry in my collection”. Gülhan said that she used transparent fabrics which made the body look more blurry.
