I graduated from the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering in 2021. Throughout my university life, my primary goal was to discover which field I wanted to work in. During this process, I undertook many internships and participated in various programs and conferences to explore different areas. Each experience further shaped my interests. In particular, a valuable speaker I listened to at a conference significantly influenced my career path. When I realized that clinical research was the field that excited me the most and where I felt I belonged, I focused on developing myself in that direction. The knowledge I gained before graduation provided me with a great advantage in my job search after graduating. Indeed, just two months after graduation, I took my first professional step in the field of clinical research. My biggest advice to friends who will follow this path after me is: never stop. Continue to learn, experience, and open different doors until you discover which field is right for you. Don't hesitate to talk to people who have experience in the sector. Remember, sometimes even just one conversation can change your entire career route. On this occasion, I sincerely thank all my professors who contributed to my education and Izmir University of Economics, which inspired me.
