Life at university is nothing compared to high school or anything else. When I chose Izmir University of Economics in 2009, I asked myself if I made the right decision. 5 years were ahead of me to see if I made the right decision or not. I’ve always tried my best at Izmir University of Economics and became a successful student. I did not qualify for any scholarships when I first enrolled at school but my hard work paid off and I qualified for 50% merit scholarship. In addition to courses in Public Relations and Advertising, I’ve taken many other electives from variety of fields including Business and Software Engineering.

In the summer semester of my 2nd year, I performed an internship abroad for 3 months at the youth center named JUVIVO9 in Vienna with the ERASMUS Internship mobility. I graduated from Izmir University of Economics, Department of Industrial Systems Engineering in 2016 with a high honors degree. Among my goals before starting university were to receive a comprehensive and technically competent engineering education at world standards, to continue my career abroad and to gain experience in the business world before graduation. Among the most important reasons why I chose Izmir University of Economics were its competent and experienced academic staff, the scholarship opportunities it offers, the fact that the medium of instruction being English, the opportunities to learn second and third foreign languages, the recognition of the University at home and abroad, and the many opportunities that open up to the business world.
