I am one of the first students and one of the first graduates also. It wasn’t an easy decision; I had to take a risk. But I realized it was the best decision after I graduated. I can see it clearly now after the best quality education I received. I was able to find employment at companies I liked and put everything I learned into practice. The curriculum and course content was very in-depth and well prepared since we were the first students. Professors in person were teaching the courses. It is not that common for universities. I benefitted from that a lot in business life. I was able to put the theoretical knowledge into practice at work. I was relieved to see that the business life spoke the same language. After all, university and work environment are two different places. I also benefitted from the business management simulation projects I was involved at the University. Briefly I can say that the education I received allowed me to improve my relationship with others, my EQ, my analytical thinking skills, and the ability to manage more than one project concurrently, and the ability to see the bigger picture.  As I said earlier, professors’ teaching the courses was a major privilege. We were also the first bunch of students to have received laptops. That helped a lot. Supporting students via student clubs was another privilege because students gain experience on work life, relationship management without even realizing it. Izmir University of Economics has opened up new faculties and improved itself continuously since I graduated. It made no compromises when it came to the quality of education. It became the first choice for scholarship students.
