I am a graduate of Department of English Translation and Interpretation (2008). During my student years I was a member of the theater club. The versatile skills that I gained with the contributions of our university and valuable professors offered me the opportunity to gain different experiences in my career. After working as a lecturer at Ege University School of Foreign Languages, I decided to become a civil servant and entered the Ministry of the Interior, General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs in 2012 as a Translator-Interpreter. This was the beginning of my life in Ankara. I started to work as a translator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2013. In 2019, I started my diplomatic career by succeeding in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prospective Consulate and Specialized Officer exam as a diplomatic career officer. Currently I am working as an Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Turkey to the Council of Europe. I am proud to represent our country abroad and to be a member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the number of women diplomats is increasing day by day. We are in a period of radical changes. My humble advice to young friends is to evaluate this uncertainty from a realistic perspective and improve themselves by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by Izmir University of Economics.
