I stepped into Izmir University of Economics in 2002 for the first time. I dropped out of school in 2004 due to unexpected sad events. I returned to school in 2009 at the insistence of my family. During this time, I got married and became a mother. Everyone except me believed I could graduate, but I was caught between motherhood and being a student. Then I decided what I really wanted. I was very happy to be a part of Izmir University of Economics. I was studying at my department fondly and it was a privilege to take lessons from very successful professors in the department. Since my childhood, I always wanted to be engaged in a business related to abroad. In this context, Izmir University of Economics was the only place that could meet my demands. I found the opportunity to participate in work environments that I could not imagine, with foreign language education and internship opportunities, and met very valuable people. Thanks to the certificate programs provided by the University, I had the opportunity to visibly stand out from other candidates in job interviews. Thanks to the education I received, I learned to research and to look at events from a different perspective. Foreign language education has always been an advantage in my business life. I graduated top ninth student in 2012 as an honor student. My university continued to support me in business life after graduation and noticeably helped me in my job search. I have now completed my fourth year in a software company within Dokuz Eylül University Technopark. I have started my job in the Human Resources Department and now I am continuing as the company representative responsible for Izmir branch. All responsibilities of various departments such as Human Resources, Finance, Purchasing, Accounting, Projects and Contracts, Quality Management are under my control. Both my departmental courses and my elective courses helped me to progress significantly in my business life. I recommend that new friends set goals for themselves and continue their education life by making their choices in this context.
