In my first year at Izmir University of Economics, I started to improve myself not only academically but also socially by taking advantage of the numerous opportunities that the school has offered. When I was working at the Student Affairs unit of the University, I visited high schools in different cities with our esteemed educators and represented our school. I added another language to my resume by improving my German education, which started in high school, at the University. I did volunteer work in well-known institutions such as Izmir Chamber of Commerce, International Cotton Advisory Committee, Aegean Exporters' Associations. During that period, I received an English Education Certificate by studying at another university. I worked as an Education Consultant and English Teacher at Izmir Global Vizyon. I started researching MBA programs abroad in the last year of my education. After graduating in 2009, I was accepted to the MBA program at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, USA. I moved to America at the end of 2009. My advanced level of English surprised not only my instructors here, but also my American friends. The education I received at Izmir University of Economics opened many doors for me. While I continued my master’s, I continued my life as a beneficial individual to the city and country where I lived by standing out socially. After my graduation, I started to work as Special Projects Manager at Fulton Construction, one of the city's well-known construction companies. At the same time, I was working as a volunteer at Driscoll Children's Hospital. Helping children and humanity has always had a great place in my life. I was determined to work in this hospital. Returning to Texas A&M University, this time I completed my master’s degree in Healthcare Management. I was hired to manage the construction of the new $ 100 million hospital building. This is my fifth year at the hospital. During this period, my interest in real estate business increased and I started to work as a property manager at the same time. In addition to my work in the hospital, I manage over 80 apartments. I owe my achievements in America where I am a member of Texas A&M University Alumni Association Board of Directors, Corpus Christi Police Department Board, America Heart Foundation Board, Rotary Club, and volunteer employee of the Department of National Revenue (IRS), primarily to my family, who supports me in every respect, and to the education I received at Izmir University of Economics. Opportunities are always there as long as you want to succeed. Remember, you cannot know what is inside without opening a door. Take every opportunity given to you at our University. The education quality of Izmir University of Economics, the success of its instructors and the opportunities it provides to you are invaluable. Thanks to everyone who stepped in my way and contributed to my life.
