Even though I was in Science-Mathematics department in high school and planned to become an engineer, I realized that I could not do a job I did not like my whole life. I had a change of mind in my senior year in high school , and I chose Department of Fashion Design of Izmir University of Economics. I did not have any idea about fashion design before, I consulted famous designers. I proved them right at the end of 4 years with the contributions of my school. There were many opportunities that my school provided me with during the school period. I performed my internships at Mehtap Elaidi and Özlem Süer's offices, attended competitions, had a chance to exhibit my designs in various fairs, and participated in many fashion shows. During our education, unlike other schools, we have received many trainings in the garment industry that make us stand out. We learned best way how to make our own mold, pattern, print, sew the product and present it. It is very important to know the person you want to be when you graduate from school. Once you know what you want to be, all the facilities and doors of the school are fully open for you. When I graduated as a Fashion Designer at the end of 4 years, I was a person who spoke 2 foreign languages, took photography as well as designing, entered many social environments and had the opportunity to work. I graduated as a full scholarship student in second place. With my portfolio I prepared in my senior year and the projects I prepared afterwards, I won the competitions held by Domus Academy and IED in 2011 after my graduation and received scholarships for master’s from both schools. I chose Domus Academy and studied in Milan for 1 and a half years. Currently, I am a Design Leader in an export company with more than 6 years of experience in the sector. I often travel abroad and prepare collections for my customers and I am grateful to my school at every point in my business life for what it taught me.
