The award ceremony will take place on 19 October in Vienna, Austria.
Esra Sarıhan, graduate of IUE Department of Industrial Engineering, indicated that they acted upon the conception of “customized internet shopping” instead of “cheap online shopping”. Esra Sarıhan said that they offered a wide variety of products from electronics to mother/baby products, from kitchen gadgets to home decoration and accessories. Sarıhan said, “Baskasindarama.com was founded by two female engineers. Therefore, we are making a positive discrimination. In addition to global brands, we offer quality products of women in manufacturing that fit our vision. While we were doing business with 30 brands in 6 categories back in 2017, we increased the variety by 37%. We are now doing business with 41 brands in 8 categories. We are also working with designers from London, Germany, and many other parts of the world. We sell both our designs and designs of other Turkish designers. In addition to online sales, we send our products to concept stores in Turkey and abroad.”
