I studied at Izmir Bornova Yunus Emre Anatolian High School between 2004-2008. between 2008-2013, I studied on scholarship Computer Engineering Department at Izmir University of Economics. I spent my first year in the preparatory program. During the university years, I worked as a freelancer in web development projects in various companies such as Netsis, between 2010-2013. After my graduation, I provided consultancy services for Turkey's big companies such as Isbank and Turkcell for 1.5 years at Accenture Danismanlik. Then, I applied for the Vision and Robotics (VIBOT) Erasmus Mundus master's degree program offered by three different universities, namely University of Burgundy, University of Girona and Heriot-Watt University. I thought this was necessary for me to improve myself for my future career, and I was accepted to the program with a 100% scholarship. After completing the master program, I worked at Adasens Automotive GmbH for 2.5 years on the development of future autonomous vehicles and the design, programming and integration of camera systems in today's automobiles. Our project was developed under the name Camera Calibration for Camera Mirroring System (CMS) (Level 1/2) for Audi e-Tron 2019 model vehicles. Then I got an offer from Aptiv Services Deutschland GmbH and took part in the development of the Behaviour and Trajectory Planning for Highway-Pilot (Level 3/4) module for BMW's iNext 2021 model vehicles for 3 years. I am currently developing projects on the defense industry at Helsing GmbH. During the postgraduate admissions process, I had no problem with speaking a foreign language thanks to the high quality language instruction of our university and the compatibility of the course contents with the Bologna process. In addition to the department courses, I think that the second foreign language education given at our university was also very useful. At the end of four years, you are qualified to take the exam in the relevant language and receive a language certificate, which shows you have learned a second foreign language as well as taking you one step further in your business life. Also, thanks to non-departmental elective courses, you can broaden your horizons by taking courses from disciplines such as Economics, Psychology and Sociology. You get the chance to practise the theoretical lessons you have taken. Another advantage is the quality of the teaching staff and the curriculum which provides a sufficient knowledge both in hardware and software. In addition, hosting the Global Game Jam (GGJ) event for the first time in Izmir, continuing to lead in this regard, is another plus of having options such as Computer Games and Web Engineering. Considering these facts, I would recommend Izmir University of Economics Computer Engineering Department Undergraduate Program to anyone who is considering a career in Computer Science in the future.
