I started studying Mechatronics Engineering in 2017 with a 50% scholarship and graduated as the top student in my department in 2023. During this time, I had the opportunity to develop myself to the fullest thanks to the high-quality education I received from our esteemed academics and the opportunity to study two foreign languages provided by my University.
Yaprak Yalçınkaya
2015 - Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Graduate
I entered this program, which was my first choice, as a full scholarship holder. I successfully passed the preparatory exam in 2011 and started my freshman year when I was only 17. I started to work as a freelance interior designer since 2012. In the third year of my undergraduate education, I decided to spend a semester at the University of Sheffield Hallam in England with the Erasmus agreement IUE is included in. After studying a semester here, I completed the 3rd grade at IUE. That summer, I performed my internship as an interior designer at an architectural firm in Sheffield and took part in large-scale hospital projects. At the same time, by continuing my freelance works, I completed many interior architecture projects in Russia, China, America and England.

Since I was young, I have been interested in fashion, design, and sports. In 2020, I graduated with honors from the Department of Industrial Design at Izmir University of Economics. During my university life, in addition to internships related to my major, I volunteered in many different career fields to gain experience, even though I loved my major very much.

Izmir University of Economics was my dream university. Because in 2007 it was one of the rare universities that had translation booths. That's why it was my first choice. I didn't regret my decision at all when I came to the University. Graduating from Izmir University of Economics, Department of Software Engineering in 2008 was a new beginning of my learning journey. The solid foundation and innovative approach provided by my University gave me the vision I needed to move to broader horizons. Then, I completed my Master's degree in Marketing and Logistics Management at Galatasaray University in 2013.
