I started at Izmir University of Economics in 2015 in the Department of International Trade and Finance. Thanks to this program, which provides 100% English education, I gained not only theoretical knowledge, but also a global perspective, critical thinking and analytical competencies. In 2020, I graduated as a high honor student. After my graduation, my career journey started, focusing on finance. First, I worked as a Finance Assistant in a company operating in rail system projects. Afterwards, I worked as a Treasury Specialist for three years in Prysmian Group, a global energy and telecommunications company. Here, I managed many critical financial processes such as cash flow, foreign currency risk management, SAP-based financial reporting and bank relations. As of November 2024, I continue my career as Treasury Specialist at DowAksa. In addition to this role, I am doing my second master's degree in Sustainable Energy program at Izmir University of Economics in order to deepen my interest in sustainability in the academic field. I am preparing my thesis on the impact of ESG scores on financial performance. The versatile perspective, analytical mindset and English proficiency that Izmir University of Economics has provided me with significant advantages in my professional life today. Being both an undergraduate and graduate student at the same university strengthened my sense of belonging and my vision. My advice to new graduates and prospective students is to utilize their university years not only for academic but also for personal development. Taking advantage of internship opportunities, being interested in different fields and learning to think globally will shape their success after graduation.
