I graduated from Izmir University of Economics, Department of Psychology in 2016 as a high honor student in 2014. After graduation, I received a full scholarship from Sweden's Lund University, which is among the top 100 universities in the world, and I completed my master's in Psychology here. The theoretical and practical applications of psychology I learned at Izmir University of Economics prepared a solid ground for my graduate education. When I look back, I think the most important value my education at Izmir University of Economics has brought to me is the voluntary inquisition and critical thinking skills. I would like to thank our esteemed academics for all their efforts and contributions. Another important advantage of being a student of Izmir Economics is foreign language opportunity. During my graduate education, I also worked at a multinational school and had the opportunity to use both foreign language skills I gained at Izmir University of Economics in my professional life. As a trilingual individual after my graduation, I had the chance to learn two more languages as a result of living in two different countries. I am currently working as a doctoral researcher at the University of Oslo. I conduct scientific studies with a multidisciplinary group that includes psychologists, musicologists, information technology experts and neuroscientists. During this period, I had the opportunity to contribute to scientific studies at other prestigious universities such as Cambridge and UC Berkeley. With the joy of lifelong learning, I also continue my therapy and supervision trainings. I use my knowledge and experience in various fields of mental health and psychology in Northern Europe to support immigrants living here.
